Hummel designed the reconfiguration and renovation of the approximately 14,300 SF of existing surgery and clinical space on the first floor of the St. Luke’s Medical Office Plaza, located adjacent to the Boise campus.

The project renovation includes 4 operating rooms, clean supply, and central sterile facilities, anesthesiology work room, pre-/post-surgery (PACU/POHA) bays, 23-hour observation rooms, nurse stations, nourishment/med stations, waiting room and reception, locker rooms with showers, and other supporting functional space.

Additionally, the scope includes a new entry to 1st Street, a mechanical platform at the third-floor roof desk, upgrades in the basement mechanical rooms and minor improvements to the rooftop parking deck. The work includes seismic upgrades and HVAC necessary to support the Surgery Center.
