An open, youthful, interactive physician monitored exercise and observation space designed by Hummel Architects was completed in 2010 to aid the cardiac rehabilitation program for St. Luke’s Health System.
This 12,500 SF tenant improvement of the top floor of a 5-story medical office building was designed using natural light, taking advantage of outstanding valley views, vibrant colors, and large scale photographs. It includes a walking track, locker rooms, heart-healthy exercise equipment, monitoring stations, exam rooms, offices, and a cooking and education classroom.
The space was designed to meeting the needs of both an elderly and bariatric population. It exemplifies the health system’s goal of preventative care, encouraging patient participation and providing the tools to develop a healthy lifestyle.
