The tenant improvement project on the third floor of the Empire Building was a unique situation for our team. They are pros at programming, designing, and construction administration for tenant improvements, but this time they had an exacting client—themselves.
Improvements included demolishing all of the existing offices and meeting rooms throughout the entire 7,711 square foot floor. Where once were tiny, dated offices, the designers imagined an open floor plan to take advantage of the tall ceilings and large windows.
The new space includes open workstations with standing desks, enclosed offices and storage spaces, a spacious kitchen & breakroom, conference rooms, a wellness room, two collaboration lounges, indoor bike storage, and restroom upgrades. Designed as a collaborative design studio, the space is lit by large windows supplying natural light, biophilic details, and casual spaces for working together.
