Hummel Architects has an immediate opening for an Architectural Project Manager working in either our Boise or Idaho Falls offices.

As a Project Manager at Hummel, you must have the ability to plan and direct all aspects of a project to ensure its success. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project types and sizes with a dynamic, growing firm. Hummel has a multiple year project backlog providing exciting opportunities to lead large scale healthcare and multi-use high rise buildings.

Required Skills / Responsibilities:
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in architecture
  • Licensed Architect in the United States
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience preferred
  • Lead a team of architects and designers through every phase of the project
  • Responsible for project technical aspects including schedule, budget and specifications, detailing and Quality Control
  • Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam
  • Coordination with client, consultants, contractors and internal project groups
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Provide mentoring to junior staff
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain schedules
  • Strong time management and attention to detail

Hummel Architects has an immediate opening for a Project Designer with 3-5 years of Architectural Design experience with a strong portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a high level of creativity, problem solving skills and ability to collaborate.

Required Skills:
  • Be able to coordinate project design, develop creative-design concepts for projects and prepare presentation and design drawings and details.
  • Work independently on architectural planning and design projects and coordinate project design efforts with team members.
  • Work in tandem with design team to analyze and evaluate client project requirements and design alternatives.
Required Skills + Responsibilities
  • Bachelors or master’s degree in architecture
  • Ability to balance the design of multiple projects and maintain schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to graphically present ideas and communicate with clients and colleagues efficiently and effectively
  • Strong sketching, graphic, 3D modeling and visualization skills
  • Experience with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software required
  • Experience with Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape preferred
  • Graphic design experience is a plus but not required

Hummel Architects has an immediate opening for a full-time Job Captain.

The candidate would work closely with a project team to manage the production of drawings and specifications from both a technical and process aspect.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the progress of production staff on project documentation in all phases of design.
  • Participates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Assists with QA / QC review, modification and implementation of documents.
  • Works closely with consultants to ensure a complete set of documents.
    Management of small projects
Required Skills
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of architectural building systems, building codes, and ability to research and incorporate into documentation
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Independent worker with experience taking a project through every phase

Hummel Architects has an immediate opening for a full-time Architectural Project Coordinator.

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Coordinator to work out of our Boise or Idaho Falls offices. The Architectural Project Coordinator works directly with the Project Manager throughout the design, documentation, and construction phases of a project. This position is responsible for organizing and coordinating the development of construction documents. Technical expertise and experience used to collaborate with the project team through coordination and quality assurance processes throughout the project. In addition, participate in document and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observation during bidding and construction.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Aid Project Managers in project planning and management
  • Project documentation management, correspondence, and logs
  • Project-related document distribution and tracking
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules
  • Meeting minute documentation and distribution
Required Skills
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in an administrative capacity with an Architecture or Engineering firm, or Contractor
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Construction Management software such as Procore or ConDoc is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
