Senior Architect - Boise

Hummel Architects has an immediate opening for a Senior Architect.

The candidate would fill the role of Technical Expert for multiple large-scale projects. The position focuses on firm-wide quality control, technical detail production, and code integration. A specialization in Healthcare or Education project types is desired, along with a desire to mentor and pass this expertise along to junior staff.

Required Skills/Responsibilities:

  • 20+ years of Project Management/Project Architect experience
  • Licensed Architect
  • Act as technical expert regarding specialized designs
  • Ensure quality design process firm-wide
  • Perform QA/QC and technical reviews
  • Creates, checks, and coordinates details
  • Incorporates applicable codes, construction techniques, and sequences in various projects including all aspects of cross disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of project process from programming through CA
  • Ability to interact with senior management as well as lead junior staff
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain schedules
  • Strong time management and attention to detail

  • Proficient in BIM/Revit Modeling
  • 2+ years’ experience preferred but not required

Office Administrator

We are looking for an exceptional Office Administrator to be responsible for firm-wide organizational tasks and support. The Office Administrator will undertake reception and administrative duties to ensure all staff members have adequate support to work efficiently. They will contribute to the culture and sustainability of our firm. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, outgoing, good humored, cool under pressure, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception – open and close office, answer and direct phone calls, maintain phone systems, maintain multiple calendars, schedule meetings, prepare meeting space, welcome and direct visitors, field general email, maintain common spaces and office supplies, book travel arrangements, and other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth running of our offices.
  • Administrative – maintain office systems, basic data entry and processing, document and materials production, support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures, assist colleagues whenever necessary to ensure our overall continued success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator or relevant role.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite software.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
  • Experience in the Architectural field a plus but not required.
