Meridian High School Remodel

Meridian High School is a campus-style high school with six buildings, including a gym, cafeteria, two shops, an auditorium, and a classroom building. This project creates parity between MHS and newer high schools constructed in the district and updates life safety codes.

This project provided the district with the opportunity to re-program the existing space into a new, technologically advanced, education environment that will serve West Ada School District far into the future. Prior to renovations, the existing conditions included a dated wall panel system with interlocking ceiling tiles, a mechanical system at the end of its life, a layout that precludes supervision, and minimal daylight throughout the building.

The new design boasts ample daylight through the implementation of skylights, a new energy-efficient mechanical system, robust technology in flexible teaching spaces, and life safety upgrades such as fire suppression, fire alarm, and door access control.
