Under Construction

Meridian, Idaho

Hummel Architects is taking on the complete remodel of Meridian High School, the District’s original high school. This project is being completed in multiple stages and has been designed to create a more comfortable and conducive learning environment.

It’s aim will bring the high school’s main academic building up to current building codes and adds a great deal of modern technology. The new design will incorporate collaborative and higher volume spaces, exposed duct work and utilities, and new skylights that will provide students and staff with an improved educational environment. In addition to increasing the overall energy efficiency, the new lighting design exceeds code requirements by 48%, by which lighting sensors monitor the daylight levels and occupants to reduce energy usage.

Within the 50,000-square foot addition, the new facility will include approximately 20 new teaching spaces and 450 additional students.
