ED DANIELS

NCARB, AIA, Principal Architect
Ed joined Hummel 20 years ago as an Architect-in-Training and has worked his way up to one of our main Higher Ed and K-12 Principals. Ed’s particular draw to educational design stems from his passion to design facilities and spaces that encourage youth to learn, grow and thrive. As principal, Ed oversees the day-to-day aspects for our education projects and coordinates with all consultants. He’s also responsible for leading the preparation of construction documents, and observation of the construction process. Ed also leads project teams in planning, design, and production of working drawings for both new construction and adaptive reuse projects.

What Ed does in his spare time revolves around the time of year and weather. He’s an avid Nordic skier in the winter and mountain biker in the summer. Ed can also be found on the sidelines of a lacrosse field, serving as an assistant coach for North Junior High. On a given weekend, you may also find Ed spending time with his kids in McCall.
