Helping Homeless Teens with United Way

There are over 4,500 homeless teens living in the Treasure Valley, and some are without the basic necessities that many of us take for granted and use each day. This year, we wanted to help United Way of Treasure Valley by holding a hygiene item drive for these teens in our community.

The Hummel team came together and brought in full-sized items such as hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothbrushes, combs, and more – and together, we made 13 hygiene kits! In addition to the hygiene items, each kit also included a special hand-written note of encouragement in hopes of warming these teens’ hearts this holiday season.

We really enjoyed assisting United Way in their efforts to give to those in need. United Way of Treasure Valley gives back to our community all year by fighting for the health, education and financial stability to those who need it most. Giving back is what the holiday season is all about!
